On September 8th, EBRI and ICI jointly release the study "What Does Consistent Participation in 401(k) Plans Generate? Changes in 401(k) Balances, 2010-2014" revealing the significant, positive impact that consistent plan participation has on 401(k) plan balances. Surprisingly, there was a "hidden gem" in the study: the notion of synthetic tenure.
